Information we collect
GCC Car Deals does not require an account and does not ask for personal information to browse. We collect standard, non-identifying technical data your browser sends automatically — such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view — to operate the site, measure traffic, and improve our results. When a search finds nothing useful we keep the words searched, the country and the date — never who searched, and never text that looks like an email address or a phone number. When our own rules cannot read a free-text search, its words — never who searched — are sent to an AI language service (reached through OpenRouter) that turns them into search filters. If you report a problem with a listing, we keep the listing, the reason you chose and any note you add, and use them to check and correct that listing; your network address is kept only as a one-way code that cannot be turned back into the address, and only to stop repeated reports. If you sign up for one of our emails — such as deal alerts, the weekly best-deals email or the monthly Used-Car Price Index — we keep your email address and the choices you made when signing up, and use them only to send that email. The cars you view or save, your recent searches and your chosen country are remembered in your browser only — never on our servers.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to measure how the site is used, including Google Analytics. When you arrive from one of our Google ads, a tagged campaign link or another website, we keep the ad click identifier, the campaign tags or that website’s address in a cookie of our own (gcc_attr) and in your browser's session storage for up to 30 days, and attach them to a business enquiry you send us, so we can tell which ads lead to enquiries and sales; we may report such an outcome to Google Ads with that click identifier, never with your name or e-mail address. Our Qatar pages carry only placements sold directly to named sponsors, which are not personalised to you. On our website's UAE and Saudi Arabia pages we may show ads served by Google AdSense, which uses advertising cookies to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other sites; the Car Deals app shows no advertising-network ads. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.
Sponsored placements
Some placements on this site are sold directly to sponsors and are always labelled “Sponsored”. We choose them for the country you are browsing; they are not personalised using your data, and no ad-targeting cookie is involved in showing them. Following a sponsor link takes you to that company’s own website, which is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
Third-party listings and links
GCC Car Deals links to car listings published on third-party websites and sends you to the original listing. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content, prices, availability, or privacy practices of those external sites. Prices and details are set by the source and may change. Some listing photos may load directly from the website that published the listing, which then receives your device’s IP address, as on any visit to it, but not which of our pages you are viewing.
Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser. Your choice is shared with dealers.gcccardeals.com in the preference cookie gcc_consent for up to 12 months. Where measurement is permitted, business enquiries and Stripe subscriptions retain the consent policy, source and time with the click capture time; internal QA is excluded. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first: until you accept, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement run without cookies and we keep no ad click identifier, and you can change your choice at any time on our website’s privacy page. Where Google AdSense ads are shown (our UAE and Saudi Arabia pages), you can opt out of personalised ads via Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) and industry tools such as youronlinechoices.com. Our Qatar pages show no advertising-network ads.
Mobile app (Car Deals)
Our mobile app, Car Deals, works without an account. Cars you save (favourites) are stored only on your device. If you opt in to saved-search alerts, we collect your device's push-notification token and — only if you choose to enter it — your email address, used solely to send the deal alerts you requested. We do not sell or share this data, and all data is encrypted in transit. To stop the alerts, remove them in the app or use the unsubscribe link in any alert email; to have the token and email deleted as well, email us at hello@gcccardeals.com.
Inside ChatGPT
If you use GCC Car Deals inside ChatGPT, ChatGPT sends us only what your request needs: the words of your search, the country, and for a value estimate or a price check the car's make, model, year, mileage and condition, and the price you ask about. We answer from the same public listing data as this website and keep nothing that identifies you; a search that finds nothing useful is kept as described above (its words, the country and the date). Your conversation with ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI's privacy policy.
How long we keep information
Alerts and emails you sign up for (such as deal alerts, price-drop alerts, the weekly best-deals email and the monthly price index email): your email address or the app's notification token is used only to send what you signed up for, and is kept until you ask us at hello@gcccardeals.com to delete it; unsubscribing, or removing the alert in the app, stops it at once. Listing reports: the report and the one-way code made from your network address are kept with that listing's record so we can check it and limit abuse; the code cannot be turned back into your address. Searches that found nothing: their words, the country and the date identify no one and are kept as search statistics. Usage statistics: Google Analytics keeps event-level data for no more than 14 months, and our hosting provider keeps server logs for a limited period. Requests from ChatGPT are not stored beyond these search statistics.

Contacting a dealer
Dealers that have claimed their page on our website and been verified by us can be contacted through a form on a car page. If you use it, we collect your name, your mobile number, the e-mail address and message you choose to add, and the car you asked about. We send them to that dealer by e-mail so they can reply to you, and keep them ourselves to deliver the message and check it; your network address is kept only as a one-way code that cannot be turned back into the address, and only to stop repeated messages. We keep these messages for up to 12 months. What the dealer does with your details is up to that dealer and its own policies.
Dealer pages and requests from dealers
Our dealer pages describe businesses that sell cars — dealers and showrooms, never private sellers — using what their public ads on the sites we track say and what we measure from those ads. A business can claim its page, ask us to correct it or ask us to remove it, with the form linked from its page or by writing to hello@gcccardeals.com. For such a request we collect the name, role, business e-mail address and mobile number of the person asking, and any trade licence number and message they add, and use them only to check and answer the request and, once a claim is verified, to send that business the messages buyers write to it.

Selling on GCC Car Deals: what we collect from sellers
If you post a car for sale, we collect your mobile number, the photos you upload, the details of the car (make, model, year, mileage, price, condition, location in the country) and the text of your ad. You may also give us a first name or a showroom name, which is shown on the ad. We do not ask for your national ID, bank details or any payment.
Selling on GCC Car Deals: why we use it
Your mobile number is used to send you a six-digit code by SMS so we can check the number is yours, to keep your ads and let you manage them in My ads, and to let buyers reach you. Buyers contact you by WhatsApp or phone: your number is never printed in the ad page, and a buyer receives it only when they tap Contact. Photos and details are shown on the ad and used to place it among similar cars. We also use them to protect buyers and sellers, for example to hold an ad that looks suspicious until a person has checked it.
Selling on GCC Car Deals: photos and automated tools
Every photo is re-encoded on our servers and the location data and other hidden information inside it are removed before it is stored or shown. To read the car from your photos and fill in the form, the photos are sent to an automated image-reading service through OpenRouter, with the setting that forbids the provider from keeping or training on the data. To write the ad text in English and Arabic, the confirmed car facts and your notes, with phone numbers and other contact details masked, are sent to an automated text service through OpenRouter under its standard routing, without that setting. You can edit or replace anything these tools suggest before the ad goes live.
Selling on GCC Car Deals: services that handle your data
The SMS code is sent and checked by Twilio. Photos are stored on our own storage service. The services that host our site and database process the data on our behalf. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. We share it with a public authority only when the law requires it.
Selling on GCC Car Deals: how long we keep it
An ad runs for 30 days and you can renew it from My ads. A draft you do not publish is deleted after 7 days. When you mark an ad as sold its photos are deleted 30 days later, and when an ad expires they are deleted 45 days later. Photos you remove, ads you delete and ads we reject are deleted at once. 90 days after an ad has closed we erase the number, the vehicle identification number and the private notes attached to it and keep only the key facts of the car and the dates. Sign-in codes are kept for 30 days, usage records for 180 days, and reports about ads for 365 days. A seller account with no ads that has not been used for 180 days is deleted.
Selling on GCC Car Deals: deleting your account
You can delete your seller account yourself from My ads. Doing so withdraws all your ads, signs you out everywhere, removes your mobile number and your name, and schedules every photo for deletion. If we have banned an account for breaking the terms, we keep a one-way fingerprint of the number only so that the ban cannot be avoided.
